Andrew Carnegie was a hero for his generosity, however his treatment to the workers and his success in business earns him the unheroic title. Andrew Carnegie is a hero for generosity. Carnegie’s values is demonstrated in his “Wealth” article where he makes the comments of the obligations of a rich man.Andrew Carnegie was a hero in many ways. One reason why Andrew Carnegie was a hero was because of his influences on renovating the American steel industry which helped create the U.S a world power. Secondly, Andrew Carnegie was a hero is because he helped create jobs that employed many Americans.Andrew Carnegie was a hero amongst a few people but it can be debatable towards others. Andrew Carnegie was born in November 1835, in the attic of a weaver’s cottage in Dunfermline, Scotland. After the sale of Carnegie Steel he started 5 different charities to help distribute his money. Carnegie was an avid reader and was very involved in the construction of public libraries.
